Rattler volleyball team advances to semifinal round of SWAC tournament

The FAMU Volleyball team advanced to the semifinal round of the 2021 Southwestern Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament after sweeping Prairie View A&M, 3-0 yesterday.

The Rattlers earned their 18th sweep of the season.   Dominique Washington recorded a match-high 20 kills.

The tournament opener was also a historic night for Irem Ucar and Jessa Long, who entered the school's record book. Ucar moved to 9th all-time in single-season assists (1,065) while her teammate ties for 9th in digs (426). 

FAMU meets No. 3 Arkansas-Pine Bluff in a Saturday semifinal at 4 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. CT.
